Happy Holidays!

Yesterday was so much fun! Math Game Day went wonderfully and I think the families really enjoyed playing games with each other (as long as no one rolled "Sloppy Pigs")! You sang beautifully at the concert, and parents will remember your performance for a long time.

Now it's time for a little break from school. I hope you're all enjoying your time away. It's great to spend time with family and friends...and relax in the holiday spirit! Here's your chance to check in with each other and report on what you're up to during the break.

Let us all know how your Christmas or Hanukkah is going. Are you traveling anywhere fun? Maybe you're looking forward to spending time with relatives. What are your plans for New Year's Eve? Do you plan on trying to stay up all night?

So, How Was Your Summer?

Well, former and current 3P students.....How was your summer? I'd love to hear what you did over the last two months. Did you travel? Did you spend time down the shore, or at the pool or lake? Did you read any great books or watch any fun movies? Did you spend time with friends or family?

Now that September is here and another school year is about to begin, are you looking forward to starting up at school again?

Father's Day 2011

This past weekend, we celebrated Father's Day. It was a day that many of you may have spent with your fathers, showing him how much you care about him and love him.

Tell me about what you did to celebrate Father's Day this weekend. What did you do for your father that made him feel special and loved?

Or, write about why you love and appreciate your father, grandfather, uncle, or other important man in your life. Write about a special time you spent with them.

Reading Log - Week of 6/13/11

Every week, students are to post a response to the books that they are reading at home. You may write a response about a book that you are currently reading or one that you just finished. It could be a book that you are reading alone or with a parent.

Leave a comment to my post before Friday morning of the week of the assignment. You should try a different response option every week. Remember to begin by writing a sentence stating the book you are reading and the author.

Tell Me About the Zoo!

I'm so jealous that you all went to the Bronx Zoo yesterday, but I wasn't there. Tell me all about it! Did you love the sunny, warm weather?

What animals did you see? Which ones were your favorite? Are there any animals that you didn't get to see?

Did you have fun with your group? Did you see the group of teachers walking around the zoo? How was the bus ride? Did anyone fall asleep on the way home? :)

Since I wasn't there, I want to know all about the trip. Post your comment below!

So, How was the NJASK?

This weekend, for the Optional Weekend Challenge, add a comment on your thoughts from this week of testing with the NJASK.

Tell me how prepared you think you were. Was the test easier or more difficult than you thought it would be? What was your favorite part of the week? How did you feel before the testing? Were you nervous? Have your feelings about the test changed, now that it's over?

Let me know!
