Our school election went WONDERFULLY today! I was so proud of my students and the students of Southern Boulevard School that participated in our election for president. You are responsible members of our school community and you exercised your right to vote!
The election asked students what they thought was the most important characteristic of our next president. SBS decided through this election that honesty was the most important.
I'm glad we had the opportunity to discuss the voting process and how elections work in our country. We had a very important discussion before we voted that gave us a little more information about each candidate and where they stand on certain issues.
We learned a little about each candidate today, but I still have lots of questions I'd like to ask to find out more about them. Do you?
If you had the chance to ask the presidential candidates a question, what would it be? What is important to you that you'd like our next president to understand? What information would you still like to know about the candidates before citizens of this country vote for our next president?

If I could ask Obama any question I wanted, I would
ask "Why did you decide to run for president?" I would also tell him that I'm sorry his grandmother died today. I think that whoever is elected should be honest to everyone in the United States. I missed the election, but I would have voted Obama and Liam told me he won.
p.s. I'll probably be at school tomorrow!!!
As I filled up my car with gas today, I wondered to myself if I'd ever drive an electric car. Maybe in the future, I'd drive a car that runs on another kind of fuel besides gas. I know burning gasoline puts pollution into the air, but maybe other types of fuel can be cleaner to burn.
If I had the chance, I'd ask the candidates about their plans for making sure our future will include cleaner-running cars and other types of fuel. I'd like to tell the candidates that I think it is important to keep our environment clean and limit the amount of pollution Americans will create in our future!
Today I went to the election booth in the morning with my grandma. There was a lever. It was not hard to pull.Later at the night I went with my dad.Instead of the lever, there were buttons.
If I'm an inventor when I grow up, I will try to invent a way for cars to run on something other than gas.

If I could ask John McCain any question I would ask him why he chose a female Vice-President? I would also tell him how sorry I am that he lost.
Hi Mr. P!
If I could ask Obama any question, I would say "Why would you like to be president?" I would also ask him if I could work for him one day. Next, I would say I feel sorry that your grandmother died but she is in heaven and she can be your guardian angel. Last, I wanted Obama to win because I think it is good for a change and I think he would make a better life for us.
I'm sorry I did the wrong page because I always think I do the right page but I don'tsometimes.I'm gonna do the right page and leave the wrong page instead of erasing the whole page. It's good that I found out! Then I would be doing it in school!
