Well, students at SBS have begun the 2009-2010 school year! 3P has been very busy getting to know each other better and learning what it takes to be a "senior" of the school as a 3rd grader.
Students are already showing me how they can be respectful and responsible students. I'm proud of all the great decisions they're making and how they're such great role models for our 1st grade buddies.
Thanks for checking in!

Hi Mr.Palladino!
It's Catherine #7 from last year! (It feels weird to say the "last year" part.) I'd like to visit you soon. Sorry we haven't already. Anyway, what is the theme for SBS Halloween this year? I saw the giant pumpkin outside the school when we passed by. If you're wondering why I'm not at school right now instead of writing this, I'm sick. Two nights ago, I had a sore throat and a temperature of 99.9, last night I had 100.2, but today I'm feeling better. My new teacher Miss.Martin is sort of strict, but I think my mom told you about that. Guess what? My mom made a marble jar for us! When we fill it up, we'll get something like aa trip to the Funplex, or ice cream. So how are your new students? Have they gotten some marbles? How many are there? Remember last year? We were the smallest third grade class! Oh, and I'm being an angel for Halloween, and Liam is going to be a devil. I miss being in your class. Overall, I miss all of SBS!Hope to see you soon! Happy Halloween!

p.s. no, we do not have a newsletter for our class.
p.p.s. do you have one anymore? Keep me up to date on the happenings in 3-P! :^) (my trademark)
Hi Catherine!
I'm sorry you're not feeling well, but I'm sure you'll agree that it's better to stay home and recover, than to try to come to school and make yourself more sick! Hopefully, your day off helped.
We're having a really fun year so far! 3P students are so creative and hard-working, and LOVE to read! (There are 24 students in our class this year!)
We have our Lenape assembly coming up tomorrow (remember getting to hold all of those Lenape artifacts?). Our marble jar is filling up very quickly, and kids are learning a lot about respect and responsibility!
I'd love for you to visit someday...have Mom email me for a good time.
Keep checking in on the blog! Talk to you soon.
Mr. Palladino :)

Hi Mr. Palladino! It's Cat7 again. Sorry I haven't gotten back to you for awhile. I hear you've got 24 kids in your class this year. So do we! So far I'm having a good year. I'm getting used to the switch schedule. The 5 guinea pigs in Mr. Elko's classroom are a lot of fun to play with. (Yeah, I know, a lot of pets, right?) Miss Martin has been absent for a few days and today we had a sub named Miss Donnelly. Do you think she might be Mrs. Donnelly's daughter? Anyway, how are you? I hope we can see each other soon. What is your new class like? Do you still switch with Mrs. Conti? How was Mr. D'Aloia's Halloween Puppet Show? What was the theme of the parade this year? What costume did you wear? What book are you reading for Read Aloud right now? Are your new students fans of Goosebumps? Keep in touch! Sincerely, Your former student, Cat7
Hi Cat7!
Guinea pigs sound like a lot of fun. We don't have a class pet this year (or any year I've had a class), but I'm sure you're enjoying yours. Did you hear Mrs. Noonan's class has a pair of turtles?
We switch with Mrs. Scrittorale instead of Mrs. Conti this year because Mrs. Conti has moved to 1st grade! I still teach science and Mrs. S teaches Social Studies.
Halloween was so much fun this year! Our theme was "Under the Sea" and all the teachers (and Mr. Pesapane) dressed as something under the sea or from the ocean. Third grade teachers dressed as crabs, wearing crab hats and big claws on our hands! Mr. Pesapane was Poseidon, King of the Sea, of course!
In class for read aloud, we've read a Goosebumps book, but now we're reading There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom....my favorite book of all time! We're at the part where Bradley is just getting to know Carla, but doesn't really like the advice she's giving him! I can't wait to read the rest with my class!
Sounds like your year is going well....keep up the great work and don't forget to visit!
Talk soon,
Mr. Palladino
