Today is the Sesame Street character, Ernie's birthday! Sesame Street was one of my favorite childhood shows. Young children all over the world have learned how to read and count by watching Sesame Street. The show was where many famous characters like Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, and Elmo have been created.If you could create a television show for kids, what type of a show would it be? What is its name? What could kids learn by watching this show?

If I could make a TV show it would be called Play time educational. My show would have live people. It would not be cartoons. My show would teach easy spelling. I would have a lot of characters. my show would be real people and would teach everything Sesame Street teaches. but its not like Sesame Street. Smiss (which is the name) does not have puppets. is a good show for kids through 1-6. Smiss is the show to watch!

If I could design my own T.V show it would be called ice cream or hammer. So here's how it works they give out math questions if you get it right ice cream falls from the sky but if you get it wrong a big toy hammer comes and hits you on the head

In school we are working on the Wax Museum and the Head Show projects. Our Head Show is called "Oops" and I think Mrs. Kraemer wrote it herself. My head is a "Shaggy Long-necked Fuzzlie", and it has green antlers with a purple inside, and it's head is orange with green horizontal stripes. The neck is covered with purple, orange, and green fur (construction paper), but only on one side. As for the Wax Museum, I am Deborah Sampson, a woman who disguised herself as a man and went to fight in the Revolutionary War. She is a very interesting person to learn about. I hope you are having a good year so far. What experiments have you done? What is the book you are reading for Read-Aloud? Does your new class like Goosebumps as mush as we did? Anyway, I have to go finish my homework.
Speaking of Sesame Street, remember the counting video you showed us last year? 1 2 3 4 5, 6 7 8 9 10, 11 12 (Doo doo doo). You should show it to your new class. If you do, tell me how they liked it.

I heard the Wax Museum went really well at LAS! I've been reading about the Revolutionary War recently, so you and I should compare notes on what you've learned about Deborah Sampson!
My class this year LOVES Goosebumps books! We've read Vampire Breath, Egg Monsters From Mars, and The Haunted School so far but we're reading Holes right now for Read Aloud.
We filled the marble jar for the second time and we're having a BEACH PARTY tomorrow. We're also saying good-bye to our student teacher, Mrs. Bronikowski.
I've got a great class this year! You'll meet lots of them next year at LAS, so make sure to introduce yourself and you'll have lots in common with them. (You can talk about all the fun things you did in 3P!)
